Stephen was working as CleanTEC’s QuEST Manager in 2021, when co-founders Peter and Chris decided to make the business employee-owned.

As part of the employee-ownership model, CleanTEC employees were given a majority share in the business, and the opportunity to have their voices heard directly through CleanTEC’s new Employee Council.

Since then, Stephen has helped to ensure that CleanTEC upholds the promise of employee-ownership day-to-day. As the Deputy Chair of the Employee Council, he attends meetings on important issues affecting the business and its employees, making sure that everyone in the company is given the opportunity to have their say in the business they have helped make a success.
