What is the Watford Business Pledge?
The Watford Business Pledge is a local initiative led by Watford Borough Council which recognises and supports socially responsible businesses in Watford. It aims to inspire action, share best practices, and strengthen the local economy and community. By signing up, organisations must demonstrate five key areas: being an employer of choice, supporting local employment and the community, buying local, and adopting a green approach.
By becoming a member of this network, CleanTEC joins a supportive community of like-minded organisations dedicated to making Watford a vibrant and sustainable place to live and work.

This town isn’t just where we have our offices, it’s where many of our team members live, where some of our clients are based, and where we see the direct impact of our work. Becoming part of the Watford Business Pledge is an extension of our long-standing commitment to the local area.

Celebratory Event
Last week, we attended a celebration event hosted by Watford Borough Council at the stunning Cortland Cassiobury. Mayor Peter Taylor presented CleanTEC and eight other exceptional local businesses with our official Watford Business Pledge certificates.
It was inspiring to hear stories from fellow members about their own journeys in community partnership and ethical growth. Seeing so many organisations dedicated to shared values in one room affirmed why this initiative is so valuable for Watford’s future.
